finanSight's GA Retraining Tax Credit Process

Our process begins with a brief discussion with the financial management of the business. Typically in a short interview we can develop a rough sizing of the credit at a level sufficient to determine if the investigation and quantification will deliver value at a suitable level. In the first year of our engagement we can usually file for multiple years, and in a surprisingly high percentage of our initial interviews we find the potential to claim large, completely unexpected credits. If such a possibility exists, we will begin our formal process:
- We begin by talking to your tax professionals to ensure that we understand the tax attributes of your business and tax payers, that the tax preparer understands the Georgia Retraining Tax Credit, and that together we have a plan for concluding our work in a timely manner and meeting filing deadlines.
- The investigation process requires a modest participation from the company, primarily oriented around providing limited payroll records, copies of invoices for the purchase of technology and training, and helping finanSight/Alpharesults professionals understand the investments and training that occurred.
- We take on the entire responsibility for aggregating and assembling the information and providing a computation of the tax credit for management review.
- Once approved, we seek state approval, and once obtained, deliver the final, approved package to the tax preparer.
